Miss Amy, I met her a few years back while photographing her, her daughter and two huge Great Danes. I remember how she made me laugh even though she was speaking of how the dogs were acting like crazy animals. The love she has for animals, a quality we share, but hers shines a bit brighter. We are about the same age, from the same town but our paths have never crossed until the session with the dogs. I felt like I have known her forever. She's my client but I speak to her like we are friends because we are friends! She's just open and totally cracks me up. When I photographer her and Johnny's engagement session, as serious as she was about things, Johnny and I could not help but get tickled. The engagement session was the first time I have met Johnny, within 10 minutes we laughing so hard I asked Johnny, "how in the world are we going to get through the wedding?" "I can't stop giggling!"
Johnny and Amy have known each other since high school days. He ended up coming back into her life during a difficult time, when she lost her father to a brain tumor only about a year ago. Another thing we share as I lost my big brother to a brain tumor too. My brother was 19 years older so it was like loosing my father too. As we went along with the engagement session (me still with the giggles) I could see how Amy entertains Johnny as well. I can see how he loves her, I can see how they except one another for whom each of them are. I can see how after the wedding when the whirlwind settles down they are going to have a lifetime of giggles.
Thank you Amy and Johnny for allowing me to photograph your special day, it's not far away! Amy, thank you for your friendship and all the giggles! Save a dance for me at the wedding, I feel the need to get down!!!
